ARROWtip™
MICRO-DISSECTION PROBES FOR VERY FINE AND EXCEPTIONALLY PRECISE CUTS. Ultra-sharp tip for clean and precise dissection of tissue. Heat-resistant alloy maintains tip sharpness. High-performance insulation prevents unwanted tissue trauma.
FAQ
Are ARROWtip™ electrodes reusable?
Yes, electrodes may be steam-sterilized at 135° C (for max. 18 min). Important: Please also see the user instructions for ARROWtip™ electrodes.
Do the ARROWtip™ electrodes fit my monopolar handpiece?
ARROWtip™-electrodes have a shaft diameter of 2.4 mm. Adaptors for handpieces with a shaft diameter of 4 mm are also available.
Do the ARROWtip™ electrodes work with my electrosurgical unit?
Yes, ARROWtip™ electrodes will work with all radiofrequency units as well as with common electrosurgical units.
What is the best power setting when using ARROWtip™ electrodes?
It is not possible to give a standard reply to this question as each unit has its special characteristics that have to be taken into account. Best results are generally achieved in blend or cut & coag mode with 3 to 8 watts.
For the radiofrequency unit BM-780 II this equals a power setting of 1.5 to 2.5 in Cut II mode.
How do I work with the ARROWtip™?
For cutting, only use the tip of the probe (not the entire needle). Brush the tip of the ARROWtip™-electrode several times across the tissue - similar to when using a brush, but always in the same direction.
Do ARROWtip™ electrodes require special care and maintenance?
Do not use abrasive or sharp-edged objects or abrasive sponges to clean the probes. It is best to use wet swabs to clean the electrodes.
Do not bend ARROWtip™ electrodes.
Protect the tips of the ARROWtip™ electrodes during cleaning and for storing.
Important: Please also see the user instructions for ARROWtip™ electrodes.
Why does the electrode sometimes "stick" and "drag"?
If this happens, the power setting chosen is too low. Adjust it gradually upwards until the desired cut comes out clean.
Why does the tissue char?
If this happens, the power setting chosen is too high. Adjust it downwards until cutting is possible without charring the tissue.
