On June 28, 2024, the city center of Emmendingen turned into a major running venue as approximately 2,600 participants joined the 14th Emmendingen City Run. With 35 runners, Sutter once again fielded the largest corporate team and was recognized during the official award ceremony.
Record Participation at the Emmendingen City Run 2024
The 14th edition of the event attracted approximately 2,600 runners and set a new participation record. Spectators lined the course throughout the city center, while the market square once again served as the traditional start and finish area.
Sutter Once Again Fields the Largest Corporate Team
The public run is one of the highlights of the event. Companies, clubs, groups of friends, and individual participants joined the start at 7:00 p.m.
With 35 runners, Sutter became the largest corporate team for the second consecutive year. The company's commitment was recognized during the award ceremony on the main stage.
A Challenging Route Through Downtown Emmendingen
The approximately 4-kilometer course led participants through two laps of the city center. Tight corners and several climbs created additional challenges, especially under warm summer conditions.
Beyond athletic performance, the event offered a valuable opportunity for colleagues to enjoy a shared experience outside the workplace.
Combining Sport and Community Support
The Emmendingen City Run connects physical activity with social commitment. Proceeds from the event support two local projects selected by the Lions Club Emmendingen, helping initiatives within the region.
