CURIS® 4 MHz Radiofrequency Generator

The CURIS® 4 MHz radiofrequency generator was developed specifically for demanding ENT applications. Based on innovative 4 MHz technology, the system enables tissue-sparing work with maximum precision – for cutting, coagulation, and radiofrequency volume reduction (RaVoR™). Thanks to AutoRF™ technology, the generator automatically adjusts the power to the tissue properties – for stable, reproducible cutting and coagulation results with a high degree of safety. Minimal lateral thermal spread ensures precise cuts with maximum preservation of the surrounding tissue. For flexible use in ENT, the CURIS® offers storable programs that are individually tailored to different indications – for efficient and standardized procedures in the operating room.

Precision that convinces

“The RaVoR™ bipolar electrodes single - use for the reduction of the inferior turbinates are a convenient solution for my private practice. My staff and I enjoy the ease of use due to the new plug and operate feature.”

S. Grupp, MD, Freiburg (Germany)

“The radiofrequency assisted soft palate procedure is a minimally invasive, safe and quick procedure. It is well tolerated by patients. We have not observed any bleeding that needed special attention.”

D. Brehmer, MD, Göttingen (Germany)

Dr. Kasten mit Brille und Hemd vor hellem Hintergrund.

“Radiofrequency surgery causes less lateral tissue damage than conventional electrosurgery. Consequently faster wound healing and a better cosmetic outcome can be expected. Studies have even shown better cosmetic results for radiofrequency skin surgery than for CO2 laser applications. Radiofrequency also improves operation comfort by enabling germ-free and pressure-free cuts with minimal bleeding in a very cost-effective way.“

R. Kasten, MD, Mainz (Germany)

“Radiofrequency monopolar surgery in the treatment of rhinophyma has proven to be an easy-to-handle, fast and efficient treatment modality. The combination of monopolar cutting and coagulation at the same time not only facilitates the re-shaping und sculpturing of the nose but also guarantees gentle hemostasis with excellent visibility of the surgical field.“

H. Sadick, MD, Mannheim (Germany)

“An established technique for precise cutting and delicate coagulation in plastic and aesthetic surgery: Radiofrequency leads to less lateral tissue damage than conventional electro-surgery. This, in turn, results in improved wound healing and good cosmetic results. Radiofrequency increases the user-friendliness and comfort for the surgeon who is able to work in one uninterrupted go without applying mechanical pressure and with a lower bleeding tendency.“

E. Oestreicher, MD, Meppen (Germany)

“With radiofrequency all types of spider veins can be treated in a fast and cost effective way. The procedure takes only several minutes and effects are instantly visible. Postoperatively there is very little discomfort for the patient.“

D. Zavisic, MD, Freiburg (Germany)

Dr. Kasten mit Brille und Hemd vor hellem Hintergrund.

“The range of radiofrequency surgery has now been extended to ablative, vaporizing methods in esthetic medicine. This novel method complements the armamentarium of the dermatologist in the operating room as well as those of the plastic surgeon and ENT specialist. Elevated benign nevi may now be removed elegantly and painlessly producing excellent cosmetic results.“

R. Kasten, MD, Mainz (Germany)

“Using radiofrequency for dissection compared to other instruments is clearly superior. It shows better hemostasis, better handling, better cutting and it is an inexpensive treatment compared to laser.“

Clemens Heiser, MD, Munich (Germany)

“The curved endo-pen is innovatively designed for endonasal surgery of the anterior cranial base. Its design enables precise access to the ethmoid arteries, facilitating hemostasis while minimizing morbidity to the surrounding anatomy, including the orbit and skull base. It’s my instrument of choice in addressing bleeding during endoscopic craniofacial resections, reducing meningoencephaloceles from the anterior cranial fossa, and arterial control in cases of severe epistaxis — an indispensable instrument for any endoscopic cranial base surgeon.”

Kibwei A. McKinney, MD, SSM Health Medical Group (USA)
