Since the 2024/25 academic year, Sutter has been funding one Deutschlandstipendium scholarship each in the fields of microsystems engineering and medicine. In doing so, we help support students working in areas closely linked to technological innovation, medical applications, and academic education. During the formal scholarship certificate presentation ceremony, CEO Bert Sutter had the opportunity to meet the scholarship recipients in person and recognize their achievements. The event highlighted how the Deutschlandstipendium brings together students, universities, and private-sector sponsors.

By once again participating in the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship program, Sutter reaffirms its long-term commitment to education and the promotion of young talent. The program supports high-achieving and dedicated students while also fostering connections between universities, students, and private funding partners.
Since the 2024/25 academic year, we have been sponsoring one Deutschlandstipendium scholarship each year at the University of Freiburg. The scholarships focus on the fields of microsystems engineering and medicine, reflecting areas that are particularly relevant to technological innovation, medical applications, and academic education.
For students, the scholarship can provide additional freedom to focus on their studies, community involvement, and personal development. For funding partners such as Sutter, the Deutschlandstipendium also offers an opportunity to connect with emerging academic talent and strengthen the exchange between academia and industry.

What is the Deutschlandstipendium?
The Deutschlandstipendium was launched in 2011 by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and has since become a nationwide scholarship program for students at German universities. It supports high-achieving and committed students from all academic disciplines.
The scholarship provides funding of €300 per month. It is financed equally by the federal government and private sponsors. As a rule, the scholarship is awarded for two semesters, or one academic year.
The Deutschlandstipendium combines public funding with private commitment. More than 300 universities, private sponsors, and the federal government work together to support students on their academic journey.
In doing so, the program not only provides financial relief but also creates opportunities for exchange, guidance, and networking among students, universities, companies, foundations, and other sponsors.
