Girls' Day at Sutter: Discovering technology, developing talents

On this year's Girls' Day, we opened our doors at Sutter to four interested participants – with the aim of making careers beyond traditional role models tangible and opening up new perspectives.

The girls were able to demonstrate their dexterity in a game of skill with our bipolar forceps – just like in the operating room. A tour of our showroom offered exciting insights into the world of medical technology and showed how our instruments are used in everyday clinical practice.

Under the guidance of our trainees Elisaweta, Emilie, Henry, and Nikolai, the participants were able to get hands-on experience: they made their own small workpieces and thus gained a first practical impression of metalworking.

During a pizza lunch with the training team Franziska Beck and Thomas Rietsche, there was time for personal conversations about training and career opportunities at Sutter. At the end, everyone received a small goodie bag – as a souvenir of a varied and inspiring day.

Many thanks to Elena, Lia, Medina, and Mila – we look forward to seeing you again soon!
