Sustainability Report 2024: How we combine responsibility in medical technology, the environment and corporate culture

Taking responsibility for people, resources and the future. With our first Sustainability Report for 2024, we show how we strive to live up to this commitment.

On the left, large white text reads ‘Sustainability’ and ‘Precision, Sustainability and Culture,’ alongside the Sutter logo with the tagline ‘Precision Electrosurgery.’

With our first Sustainability Report 2024, we provide insight into the topics, measures and goals that shape our sustainable actions at Sutter Medizintechnik. The report covers the period from January 1 to December 31, 2024 and refers exclusively to Sutter Medizintechnik GmbH. Our subsidiaries in the USA and Hong Kong are not included in this report.

For us, sustainability means more than individual environmental measures. We consider environmental responsibility, social responsibility and responsible corporate governance together. In the report, we show how we record our environmental footprint, how we support employees, how we ensure quality and compliance and which next steps we are planning for our ESG reporting.

Why sustainability matters in medical technology

As a medical technology company, we operate in an environment shaped by high quality requirements, regulatory specifications, international supply chains and long term responsibility. Our products are used worldwide and support medical users in sensitive surgical specialties. That is why responsibility does not begin with reporting for us. It starts in development, continues through production and quality assurance and extends to employees, business partners and the environment.

For more than five decades, Sutter Medizintechnik has stood for specialised electrosurgical instruments, precision and medical progress. Our ambition is to combine medical quality “Made in Germany” with responsibility for people, society and the environment.

For us, sustainability is therefore not an additional topic. It is part of the question of how we, as a family owned company, do business over the long term, how we use resources, how we protect and support employees and how we build trust with customers, partners and users.
