Career orientation at Sutter: BOGY & Girls’ Day 2026 in Emmendingen

In a single week, Sutter welcomed more interested young people than ever before. Our Project Space 2.0 was in continuous operation throughout the week. The young guests worked directly on machines, asked questions, and tested our precision instruments in our in-house showroom - accompanied by Sutter apprentices and the entire training team.

The content presented as part of BOGY and Girls’ Day reflects the core of vocational-technical training at Sutter. The focus is on learning through hands-on work, close teamwork in a production environment, and exposure to real-world industrial processes. This gives students a realistic picture of what training in a technical SME actually looks like. There was also a special emphasis on the keen interest shown by young women. Initiatives such as Girls’ Day play a key role in breaking down barriers to technology, making STEM careers visible and accessible, and promoting diversity and equal opportunity in technical fields.
