March 5, 2020, is a special day in the history of the Sutter. After a long planning phase and intensive preparations, the ground-breaking ceremony in Emmendingen finally took place today. 

We are pleased to welcome a new member to the extended management board at Sutter. Dr. Simone Peschl, who has been responsible for Business Development & Product Management since 2018, will join the management team around CEO Bert Sutter as VP Business Development & Market Access from March 2020.

At the beginning of the year we often look back on the past year and make plans for the new year. In this context we would like to share a few words by CEO Bert Sutter with you.

As part of their "climate and economy" tour, Green Party politicians Kerstin Andreae and Dr. Sandra Detzer visited Sutter today.

More than 50 of our distribution partners from 22 nations joined us for our 8th Sutter Distributor Conference^© in Freiburg last week. The program included scientific lectures as well as hands-on courses with surgeons. Of course, we also set some time apart for our distributors to exchange opinions and strategies. 

Last Friday, it was time for our annual company outing. This year, we went on a canoe trip along the Old Rhine.

At times, heavy rains and white water rapids turned the trip into quite the adventure. Even though a few boats were flipped over by the waves, we had a lot of fun. 

In the late 90’s, Jonathan Thorne (CEO & President, Silverglide Surgical Technologies) was shown what he described as the “perfectly balanced bipolar forceps” by a surgeon in California. It did, however, as all bipolar forceps at the time, stick to tissue. When he met Bert Sutter, he made an interesting discovery.

After listening to your highly appreciated #feedback we have been working on a new #adapter, and it’s just been released! This means our #RaVoR™ Bipolar Electrodes single-use can now be used in combination with our #BM-780 II #radiofrequency generator!

Our Calvian endo-pen® is continuously growing. With the new Calvian endo-pen® non-stick bipolar forceps, we are combining the benefits of the Calvian endo-pen® bipolar forceps with our SuperGliss® non-stick technology.

The end of the year is often a time to reflect on the past year and to make plans for the new year. So, before we ring in the new year, we would like to share a few words by CEO Bert Sutter with you.

Last week we celebrated our company holiday party. Together we looked back on a successful year and enjoyed great conversations, lots of fun moments, and good food. With a few impressions of that event, we also want to wish you happy holidays!

Social responsibility is an important part of our company culture at Sutter which is why we gladly support the initiative Help for Children with their project to stop child abuse.

Usually these so-called Sutteractive events involve some kind of sports activities, but every year during the holiday season we come together for some holiday crafts activities.

Fall is always a busy season for the medical industry with many medical congresses and trade shows taking place during that time of the year. As a German medical devices company that is also active on an international level, we attended both German as well as international meetings. We are looking back on some of the events we attended...

For the third time in a row Sutter won the title "Fittest SME" at this year's B2Run in Freiburg. We are proud of everyone who participated!

We are excited to announce that our new Sutter app is now available in the Google Play Store and on iTunes. The Sutter app provides access to detailed information on products, applications, and the Sutter media center.

Listening to the ideas and needs of our customers is a big part of what makes Sutter succesful. Over time we had some requests from pediatric neurosurgeons to design a shorter, more compact version of our bipolar forceps Calvian endo-pen^®. We are happy to announce that this shorter version is available.
